Res. Asst. Dr. Büşra Ünverdi Demir graduated with high honors from Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Education, Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling in 2017. During her undergraduate studies, she gained practical experience through internships at various institutions and studied abroad for a semester at the University of Copenhagen (Denmark), Department of Psychology, as part of the Erasmus+ program.
She earned her master's degree from Boğaziçi University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling, with her thesis titled "First-Time Mothers' Prenatal Expectations About Coparenting and Their Postnatal Experiences." During her master's education, she worked as a researcher in a comprehensive Scientific Research Project (BAP) focusing on the early individual differences in infants of primiparous twin and singleton mothers. Concurrently, she gained professional experience working as a school counselor at a private preschool.
Büşra Ünverdi Demir completed her doctoral studies in the Psychological Counseling and Guidance Program at Marmara University, Institute of Educational Sciences, which she began in 2020, by defending her dissertation titled "The Singularization of Parenting: A Grounded Theory Study of the Coparenting Process" in 2026. Her research interests include coparenting processes, family psychology, qualitative research methods, college mental health, and spiritually oriented psychological counseling. Dr. Büşra Ünverdi Demir, whose academic career includes articles published in international journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters, has been serving as a Research Assistant in the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling at İstanbul 29 Mayıs University since 2020.
